You know how I love these stories. Here's one about an 81-year-old hardware store owner who beat off a couple of teenaged thugs, and here's a video of a convenience store clerk emotionally spanking yet another thug.
Sometimes I wish I would get robbed, so I could kick someone's ass. But then I remember I am a weakling and not very brite, so I'd probably die. So I'm fine not being robbed.

You don't want to get robbed, even for us non-weaklings there's a nervous response afterwards that makes it really not worth it.
But, then again, if you happen to have Rick's plinker handy, you might be all right...LOL

What some of todays punks don't seem to realize is quite a few of these "old farts" went through WWII, they know how to fight.

I remember seeing a video on Spike TV about this off-duty cop who happened to be in a convenience store at the exact moment some punk tried to rob it at gunpoint. He pulled out his service weapon, pressed the barrel against the back of the robber's head, and said, and I quote, "If you wanna live, put down the weapon."
He made the robber lie on the ground with his hands on his head and, as though to pile on even more badassery, when backup arrived he waved the other officers over with his gun.

Glad to see the old guy was more or less unscathed and kicked some butt but he was still an old fool nonetheless, and should have done the right thing.
If he was more Civically minded he wouldn't have bothered with the bravado and done the right thing by simply giving the punks what they wanted and then shooting them both in the back as they fled the scene. No surviving criminals, no waste of tax dollars to convict and confine them.
The guy in the following article had the right idea:

I keep telling you that the media is tuned into your blog. When you can't spell brite the side bars are advertising Literacy sites and tutors. Someone is watching you! Did you get picked for jury duty?
