“I took some chicken…yeah? I put some cheese on it…”

Tolbert the commenter read my last post and noted the angst, and figured that what I need is some talking dog video action, and holy shit you guys, the video he linked has made me laugh harder than I’ve laughed in months, no exaggeration. The “yeah?…yeah?” stuff is destroying me. Oh my god:

    “The maple kind?”

    Lost it. Right there.

Must go give treats to doggehs in penance… Then I shall watch it again!

  2. I’ve seen it a dozen times and I still laugh. Shared it during a stressful moment at work today and we laughed until we cried.

Dogs deserve so much more than we give them!

  3. Robert Evans says:

Oh, that one is funny. Thanks for sharing it, Rachel.

  4. SunnyHuny1 says:

My absolute favorite part is the, “covered it with what?” bit. Laughed so hard, woke up the husband to watch it and then we laughed some more. Replay and repeat 3 more times. I work for a vet and we will DEFINITELY be watching this tomorrow!!!

  5. someotherknight says:

Aw c’mon, man! That dog’s human is just a bully. There was no need for that behavior. I bet that guy gives snail-flavored candy to children. That was so mean, I’m going to have to watch it again, just as soon as I stop laughing.

  6. Morris says:

Damn, I’ve got tears of laughter running down my face! Hilarious!

  7. Liz says:

Oh my GAWD!! That rocks!! I’m stealing it for my blog. Thanks for sharing Rachel.

  8. DaveW says:

Pretty funny. Are those natural mouth movements on the dog or some kind of animation?

Speaking of dogs eating, the Herbinator was at 90.5 pounds last week when I went to the vet for ear inspection and claw trims. He’s usually more like 85, but that’s a bit heavy too. I really need to knock 10 pounds off him but I’m not sure how I’m going to do it.

Hounds like their chow and he’s no different from the rest. But they also get back trouble from being too heavy – it shows up as a limp.

Of course, I could use the loss of a few myself. Maybe we should start taking long walks during the day.

  9. Langtry says:

The ears sweeping back every time the dog said “Yeah?”

How am I going to explain to my boss why I need a new chair, hmmm, Rachel?

  10. DaveW says:

It reminds me of this Bud Light talking dog Super Bowl commercial from a few years ago. Funny stuff.

  11. Ralph Gizzip says:

Damn, Rachel. That’s some funny shit right there. I know just who I’m sending to.

  12. SunnyHuny1 says:

Yep, they LOVED it!! HUGE HIT!!

  13. jean in virginia says:

I have sent this to everyone I know, and facebook. Hilarious!

The other ones he has with Jupiter the white cat are good too.

  14. Guy says:

    Here’s a good tease: ttp://beforetheyweredinosaurs.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/TresHombres_TexMex.jpg

  15. Karen says:

It’s not an animation. It looks like someone overdubbed the dog’s grumbling and moaning. The original is here: http://preview.tinyurl.com/3mw65xm. Good luck with Herbie!

  16. Matilda says:

That is so funny. I have sent it to about a zillion of my friends. Thanks for sharing

  17. stylinjulie says:

Just what I needed after a very sad week.

  18. Bonnie_ says:

I showed this to my husband and he nearly cried with laughter. We pick out a video to show the kids while they brush their teeth at night. It makes them brush properly instead of rushing, although with videos as funny as this one I’ll be cleaning toothpaste foam off my monitor. Hilarious!

  19. Mrs. Hill says:

    I shared…
    Yeah?
    With my sister-in-law, the…
    The guide dog trainer?
Yup. And she said the whole training crew watched and laughed…
    Aaaaaaaaugh!
Over and over, and they loved it, so in return, they sent…
    What did they send?
    A cat video!
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-l8PV94Ttw&feature=youtube_gdata_player
    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaahhhaaaaaaugh!

  20. David says:

Okay, it’s not a dog…man, I miss my dog…but this should have you rolling on the floor…

  21. Rachel Lucas says:

Ha! Love the cat’s accent. Been here long enough, think I can peg it…pretty sure that’s an Essex accent. Which I only know because of Gavin and Stacey.

Oh and yeah? I made Rupert watch the Yeah? video four times and now HE’S DOING THAT VOICE. I got a new iPod shuffle and was showing it to him last night. This was our conversation:

Rachel: Hey check out my new Shuffle…
    Rupe: Yeah?
Rachel: Haha, no really look, it’s cool…
    Rupe: Yeah? What’s it do?
Rachel: Heh. Touche, sir. Touche. But seriously check it out, it has this new button…
    Rupe: Yeah? The…maple kind?

Which actually broke me and I had to crack up.

  22. Rachel Lucas says:

I saw that! I love it! Also saw the “War Dogs” post from Hot Air the other day…I really should blog it.

  23. Mrs. Hill says:

Haha! Go Rupe! I’ve been doing the same thing to poor Mr. Hill. :-)
Essex, eh? Well, that’s pretty darn cool. (Can’t wait to hear about regional differences in Italian!)

  24. David says:

I hate it when the comment gets screwed up. I tried to put the link in to…
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bTbAsmPOKo
    …but apparently didn’t work.

    Take 2:

  25. Timmer says:

Every time I watch it, “The maple kind? Yea? Yea?” gets funnier.

  26. RachelB says:

Anyone know how to dry out a keyboard that has Coke spewed all over it?

  27. fargus says:

I think every single person I know has posted this on their facebook page. Add some green beans and pretend it’s Rachel’s voice for perfection.

  28. Will says:

    The fizzy kind?

  29. Ralph Gizzip says:

I swear I’ve hit this page a dozen times just to watch this video.

    The maple kind?

    BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

  30. nightfly says:

The dog’s ears are killing me… he looks away, his ears go down… “You know, beef? Steak?” Having none of this jive anymore, and then… “I put something else together, really special – you’re gonna love this… I took some… chicken.”
    Yeah?
He can’t help himself! That moment rolls me every time.

  31. Ellen says:

    Yeah…yeah?

  32. John says:

    Oh my God!!!

  33. Fred the Fourth says:

OK, movie pitch: that pissed-off-at Lexmark cat and the yeah, yeah dog have to be roomates. Uh, in Washington DC! and the cat manages congressional interns, and the dog has a day job at the Pentagon and moonlights as a … uh … uh… advertising copy editor. Yeah. Call it “Treats”. Or maybe “Friends”.

Oh, man. That poor poor doggy. I really wanna dive in there and throw him a tennis ball or something.

  34. jdogs says:

Oh. My. God. I was laughing so hard that I had to watch it several times to get through the whole thing. I was so teared up with laughter that I couldn’t get through five seconds of it without literally falling out of my chair. Thanks Rachel. It has to be the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long, long time.

  35. Mike says:

Just emailed this video to a friend.

  36. DaveW says:

    Doggy Care Tip:

When inspecting your dog for fleas and ticks, and pulling off any little black things you find, be careful not to try to pinch off their nipples. Apparently that’s painful.

  37. Need Know says:

OMG. I love dogs. Excellent post.

  38. stylinjulie says:

Have you seen Harvey? (I hope I get the HTML tag right…)

  39. stylinjulie says:

Apparently I don’t know how to use HTML tags. :(

  40. DaveW says:

    Hah! Good one.

  41. Desert Cat says:

The cats watched it. Loved it! Especially that last part.
